Job Overview

ILIA is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Counter Manager to lead our presence at Le Bon Marché and Oh My Cream. This individual should be passionate about clean beauty and motivated to educate consumers who may be new to our brand. The Counter Manager will champion our brand values, elevate the client experience, and drive sustainable business growth through artistry, education, and strategic retail execution.

This role plays a critical part in building brand loyalty and performance within our key retail locations. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, service-oriented, and energized by building relationships with clients. 

This role is a Field Sales role and will be primarily on-site at Le Bon Marché but may be occasionally asked to travel to Oh My Cream locations and other venues for marketing or training events.

Responsibilities

Sales, Client Experience & Events

  • Lead by example to achieve and exceed individual and counter sales goals

  • Serve as the primary brand ambassador for ILIA at Le Bon Marché, delivering a consistently elevated client experience

  • Analyze sales performance, competitive activity, and client insights to identify growth opportunities and partner with management on strategic initiatives

  • Drive key retail metrics including units per transaction and average order value through strong selling and clienteling practices

  • Support and execute all in-store events, including retail animations, PR events, press activations, and brand shootings as needed

  • Ensure ILIA brand standards are delivered at every client touchpoint—both in-store and during special events

Artistry & Education

  • Maintain expert-level product knowledge to educate clients and support customer acquisition and retention

  • Execute all education initiatives, tools, and brand programs with consistency and excellence

  • Support training sessions, both virtual and in-store

Team Leadership, Operations & Stock Management

  • Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team that is motivated, knowledgeable, and results-driven

  • Maintain consistent counter coverage and punctuality, addressing scheduling issues in real time

  • Own stock management at Le Bon Marché, ensuring sufficient inventory levels at all times to support business needs

  • Partner closely with the Managing Director, EME to forecast stock needs and plan replenishment strategies

  • Track order deliveries in collaboration with the Operations team and ensure timely follow-up

  • Manage stock reception, organization, and overall stockroom standards at Le Bon Marché

  • Identify and escalate operational challenges to ensure timely resolution

Visual Merchandising & Brand Presentation

  • Uphold the highest visual merchandising standards, ensuring the counter is clean, organized, and always brand-right

  • Ensure all displays, testers, and visuals are updated on time for new product launches and brand initiatives

  • Partner with store teams and HQ to ensure VM guidelines are executed accurately and consistently

Communication & Partnership

  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with store leadership, category managers, and ILIA HQ

  • Share weekly and monthly sales results, business insights, inventory updates, and performance recaps with the Managing Director, EME

  • Build strong partnerships with Le Bon Marché stakeholders by providing key trends, commercial insights, and category feedback

  • Monitor inventory levels, track out-of-stocks, and ensure timely replenishment in partnership with Operations and management
