P2P Global Process Expert (12-month FTC)

We are looking for a Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Global Process Expert (GPE) on a 12 month fixed term contract, to play a key role in shaping and delivering the future of our global P2P landscape. This role is central to driving P2P transformation, designing simple and standardised global processes, and embedding scalable ways of working across the P2P organisation.
Working closely with the Global Process Owner, the role combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, translating business ambition into pragmatic, value-driven P2P process design and execution.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
The P2P GPE is expected to assume the following key accountabilities and responsibilities plus any other reasonable duties as required:
- Act as a trusted delegate to the P2P Global Process Owner, representing the GPO in governance forums, transformation programmes, and stakeholder engagements as required
- Support the definition and execution of the global P2P strategy, vision, and multi-year roadmap
- Provide thought leadership on global P2P best practices, emerging trends and AI opportunities within P2P processes and ways of working
- Lead global P2P transformation initiatives, including process redesign, operating model changes, and technology/tool enablement
- Translate transformation objectives into clear, actionable process designs and implementation plans
- Drive adoption of new processes and ways of working through strong change management and stakeholder engagement
- Own the design and continuous improvement of global end-to-end P2P processes e.g. Supplier set-up & onboarding, Inbound AP processing, Invoice Payment and P2P queries
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise, and harmonise processes across regions, business units, and events
- Define and maintain global process standards, policies, controls, and documentation within a multiple ERP environment
- Balance standardisation with regulatory, tax, and business-critical local requirements
- Play an active role in the P2P communities of practice and support global P2P governance e.g. CI forums and decision-making processes e.g. Portfolio Change Board
- Define and monitor key P2P process KPIs and value metrics (efficiency, compliance, cycle time, user experience)
- Partner with key stakeholders including the Delivery team, Colleagues, Business Stakeholders and Suppliers to drive continuous improvement and performance optimisation
- Influence and align diverse stakeholders without direct authority
- Ensure strong communication, training, and enablement to support process adoption and sustainability
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to think strategically and align P2P processes with organizational goals.
- Experience in end-to-end Procure-to-Pay within a complex, global organisation including understanding of process delivery challenges
- Proven experience delivering P2P transformation, harmonisation, or process change
- Strong capability in process standardisation, simplification, & global process design with a proven track record in pragmatic solution design to get the best outcomes for Colleagues & Suppliers
- Experience working in a global, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders
- Proven track record of leading or significantly contributing to large-scale P2P transformation initiatives
- Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on and execution-focused
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Familiarity with shared services and/or global business services models
- Comfortable challenging the status quo, driving simplification and navigating ambiguity
- Strong communicator who can translate complex process concepts into clear, practical outcomes and can communicate effectively across different levels, cultures and regions
- Collaborative, pragmatic, and outcome-oriented
- Skilled in identifying issues and developing effective solutions.
