Job Overview
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations, project standards, and international railway construction safety norms.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits across civil works, rail infrastructure, and construction sites.
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety procedures, emergency response plans, and accident prevention programs.
- Supervise site safety officers and contractors to ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Deliver safety induction training and toolbox talks for multinational workforce.
- Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain proper documentation for regulatory compliance and client reporting.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, and quality teams to integrate safety into all project phases.
- Support safety culture awareness and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent) with specialization or certification in HSE / Safety Engineering.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in construction safety management, preferably in rail, large-scale infrastructure, or high-speed rail projects.
- Strong knowledge of international safety standards (OSHA, ISO 45001, NFPA, EU/rail-specific regulations).
- Proven experience in incident investigation and risk management.
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written); French/Arabic would be an asset.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HSE reporting tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a multicultural environment.
