You'll support patients receiving care in an acute inpatient psychiatric environment where observation, therapeutic engagement, and crisis response are part of daily practice. Working alongside nurses, therapists, and other behavioral health professionals, you'll help maintain a structured, safe setting that supports treatment, recovery, and positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support patients with daily living activities, personal care needs, and supportive patient interactions while promoting dignity, independence, and recovery-focused care.
- Monitor, observe, and document patient behavior, communicating changes in condition to support safety, treatment goals, and continuity of care.
- Assist with admissions, patient orientation, and care plan implementation while helping maintain a structured treatment environment.
- Facilitate group-based activities that encourage engagement, coping skills development, and participation in treatment.
- Respond appropriately to behavioral health crises while supporting patient observation, supervision, and safe participation in appointments, approved activities, and other care-related events.
- Collaborate closely with nurses, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members to support comprehensive behavioral health care.
