Supplier Engineering Intern

Primary Function of Position

This position reports to the Manager, Supplier Engineering, based in Sunnyvale, California. This position is part of NPI Supplier Engineering, supporting NPI projects.

Essential Job Duties

• Review component quality and defects and determine the root cause.

• Use statistics to determine trending failures.

• Working with suppliers to address component quality issues.

• Use design software to measure parts attributes and diagnose issues.

• Design tooling to prevent defects and test products.

• Adapt industry manufacturing standards to medical applications.

• Apply modern technology to solve challenging problems in a manufacturing environment.

• Achieve product requirements by understanding design constraints.
