Primary Function of Position

• Report to: Senior Group Manager, Clinical Marketing
Develop, implement & support of key Intuitive Surgical Japan (ISJ) marketing initiatives that grow the overall
market. Work with surgeons, hospitals, clinical customers and internal ISJ employees to further advance Robotic-
Assisted Surgery in Japan.
Essential Job Duties
Develop a scalable marketing plan that outlines objectives, strategies, & tactics that expand the robotic surgery category for strategically defined and specific segments.
Work with leading surgeons on emerging robotic procedures, surgical approaches, clinical messaging, & the marketing strategies that support these initiatives
Work closely with Field Sales on identifying & developing marketing deliverables that support the sale of robotic systems and that grow the procedure base
Act as a dynamic marketing team member working closely with other department members on visionary deliverables that support hospital & robotics programs
Develop and deliver presentations to hospital customers, surgeons, & clinicians on the benefits & techniques of robotic surgery
Assist in developing marketing tools that help customers to attract robotic candidate patients
Assist in the coordination, planning & delivery of activities at all considered tradeshows & meetings
Train others in up-and-coming techniques, surgical approaches, & marketing tools that support robotic surgery
Work to expand and shape global Professional Education Programs
Work with engineering & product development teams on identifying needed instrumentation for advancing robotic surgical procedures
Forecast & track robotic surgery growth and trends in all identified markets
Support and input for the ongoing Web & Internet marketing tools
Work as a liaison between customers, HQ and Field Sales
