ServiceNow Consultant

Salaried, full-time USD 65.0 - 70.0

Job Overview

Summary

Invictus is seeking multiple ServiceNow IRM Consultants to support a ServiceNow partner that focuses on Governance, Risk and Compliance and Security Operations. These consultants will dedicate their time to Integrated Risk Management and Vulnerability Response work inside the ServiceNow platform, with a strong emphasis on incident triage, remediation workflows, and daily coordination with client security and governance teams.

This is not a general ServiceNow administrator role. Successful candidates will show clear evidence that recent positions have focused primarily on ServiceNow IRM and Vulnerability Response rather than broad platform responsibilities where IRM was only a small portion of their work.

This is a full-time consulting engagement at forty hours per week aligned to Pacific Time business hours. The work is fully remote within the United States and is structured as a 1099 independent contractor role. The initial term is eight to twelve months, with the potential for extension if the engagement goes well.

Responsibilities

ServiceNow IRM and Vulnerability Response

  • Review and triage incidents and records generated in ServiceNow IRM and Vulnerability Response on a daily basis
  • Evaluate severity, impact, and priority using defined criteria and risk rules
  • Escalate issues to appropriate owners when needed and track follow up actions through completion
  • Drive remediation workflows from creation through closure, including reminders, follow ups, and status updates

Collaboration and stakeholder engagement

  • Work closely with client security, governance, and engineering teams to clarify incident context and remediation steps
  • Participate in regular standups or working sessions focused on IRM and Vulnerability Response queues
  • Communicate status, blockers, and risk related observations clearly and consistently to stakeholders

Platform usage and documentation

  • Update ServiceNow records with accurate documentation of actions taken, decisions made, and remediation outcomes
  • Use defined workflows, forms, and fields correctly to preserve data quality and support reporting and dashboards
  • Support refinement of views and reports that help stakeholders monitor incident and remediation activity

Continuous improvement

  • Identify recurring issues, control gaps, or process bottlenecks observed in daily work
  • Provide practical input to improve triage criteria, workflows, or assignment rules when requested
  • Follow established client standards and procedures and contribute to knowledge base content as needed

Qualifications:

  • Recent and focused experience working in ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management and Vulnerability Response
  • At least one recent role where primary responsibilities centered on IRM and Vulnerability Response work rather than broad generalist ServiceNow duties
  • Hands on experience with incident response, remediation, and workflow driven activities in a security or risk context
  • Exposure to security operations environments and collaboration with security or governance teams
  • Strong ability to follow structured workflows while applying sound judgment to severity and prioritization
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills suitable for remote collaboration with technical and nontechnical stakeholders
  • Ability to work a full time schedule of forty hours per week aligned to Pacific Time business hours
  • Must be able to successfully complete required background checks and client onboarding processes

Preferred Qualification:

  • Prior work with a ServiceNow partner or consulting firm in a GRC or IRM focused role
  • Experience with ServiceNow GRC and SecOps modules, particularly Security Incident Response and Vulnerability Response
  • Familiarity with common security and compliance frameworks and related risk concepts
  • Relevant ServiceNow or GRC certifications

Compensation & Benefits

  • Engagement type: 1099
  • Term eight to twelve months, with extensions possible based on performance and client needs
  • Schedule forty hours per week during standard Pacific Time business hours with no on call requirement
