ispace U.S is looking for an Assembly, Integration and Test Technician to join the manufacturing group and support operations across Avionics, Propulsion & Structures Systems on our APEX 1.0 Lander. This role will be supporting manufacturing activities on existing product designs and assist new hardware development in the early design phase, while providing critical design for manufacturability input.

ispace U.S is looking for an Assembly, Integration and Test Technician to join the manufacturing group and support operations across Avionics, Propulsion & Structures Systems on our APEX 1.0 Lander. This role will be supporting manufacturing activities on existing product designs and assist new hardware development in the early design phase, while providing critical design for manufacturability input.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, and test flight hardware.
- Use precision calibrated tools – torque wrenches, micrometers and calipers.
- Manufacturing using a variety of specialty tools including crimping tools, epoxy applicators, tap & die sets, deburring tools, rotary tools, drill press & bandsaw.
- Hands on operations with both large and small fragile sub-assemblies
- Read and interpret technical drawings and follow detailed work instructions.
- Perform high pressure pneumatic testing.
- Installation of electrical wire harnesses and instrumentation
- Assist engineers in reviewing design concepts, providing feedback for improvements
- Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions.
- Use various mechanical tools without instruction.
- Collaborate with production engineers and quality personnel to develop and document activities.
- Ensure all production services are performed on time, safely and in a professional manner.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
Basic Qualifications
- Familiarity with IPC & J-STD specifications
- Previous experience with High-Detail , mixed volume assembly hardware
- Experience with flight hardware in a manufacturing environment
- Electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with mixing/applying adhesives, epoxies and coating material
- Experienced Forklift Operations & Overhead Crane Operations
- Strong communication skills ( both oral and written)
- Familiarity with GD&T principles
- Be physically able to lift/carry 35lbs, perform climbing operations, and work in tight spaces
- Experience working within the MS office suite
What Makes You Stand Out
- A&P License
- Experience with spacecraft, satellite, or launch vehicle systems
- Knowledge of flight hardware handling and precision alignment techniques
- Familiarity with thermal, vacuum, or vibration testing environments
- Understanding of propulsion systems, avionics, or payload integration
- Experience with optical systems or sensor integration
