TITLE: ELECTRONICS ENGINEER (Avionics)
LOCATION: Luxembourg 

As an Electronics Engineer you will play a key role in supporting ispace Europe’s current and upcoming projects while also leading and developing your own. You’ll take ownership of designing and validating digital and mixed-signal Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) that must meet demanding requirements in power, high-speed performance, and resilience to the space environment. Working within the avionics team, you will collaborate with avionics engineers, robotics specialists, and other disciplines to bring mission-critical electronics to life from design to testing. Your passion for electronics design and hands-on testing will directly shape the success of our lunar missions and help us achieve cost and performance targets on the path toward a sustainable presence on the Moon.

TITLE: ELECTRONICS ENGINEER (Avionics)
LOCATION: Luxembourg 

As an Electronics Engineer you will play a key role in supporting ispace Europe’s current and upcoming projects while also leading and developing your own. You’ll take ownership of designing and validating digital and mixed-signal Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) that must meet demanding requirements in power, high-speed performance, and resilience to the space environment. Working within the avionics team, you will collaborate with avionics engineers, robotics specialists, and other disciplines to bring mission-critical electronics to life from design to testing. Your passion for electronics design and hands-on testing will directly shape the success of our lunar missions and help us achieve cost and performance targets on the path toward a sustainable presence on the Moon.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

  • Conduct and document EEE parts selection to ensure reliability in space conditions
  • Prepare calculations and contribute to architecture trade-offs that shape system design from avionics and electronics perspective.
  • Design, simulate, and layout electronic hardware and PCBs for mission-critical lunar applications
  • Follow up on PCB manufacturing and perform hands-on PCB assembly where required
  • Prepare test procedures and carry out functional validation of electronic units
  • Plan and oversee environmental tests to guarantee compliance with space standards (NASA, ECSS and internal Ispace Standards)
  • Introduce new processes and tools to keep our avionics department state-of-the-art
  • Identify risks early, define mitigation plans, and ensure project objectives are met

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field. Master’s preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in electronic hardware design and PCB development
  • Proficiency with schematic capture and multilayer PCB layout using ORCAD.
  • Hands-on experience in PCB assembly, testing, and debugging.
  • Strong ability to independently manage complex technical tasks while collaborating effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated initiative, leadership, and adaptability in fast-paced environments
  • Expertise in digital design, with additional experience in analog, power, or high-speed design
  • CID-IPC Certification is a plus.
