Packaging Lead 2nd Shift

The Lead is responsible for achieving production goals…while observing all safety regulations, ensuring all GMP (good manufacturing practices) and HACCP (hazard analysis critical control points) quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Wears required personal protective equipment PPE which includes bump cap, hair net, frock, slip resistant shoes, gloves, apron and sleeves in accordance with GMP guidelines.
Ensures set-up up of packaging line is complete
and on-time startup (machines, products, and people in place on time)
Provides direction to production workers assigned to his/her line.
Trains all employees on how to safely operate machine/work line, to include cross-training and re-training, as necessary.
Completes, accurately and on time, all paperwork required for production and FSQ (Food Safety Quality, e.g., batch sheets, first-piece check, packaged product forms.
Recommends improvements that help eliminate downtime and reduce wasted time, motion, and resources.
Assures lines are supplied with appropriate sausage/cheese lots.
Completes process monitoring chart.
Demonstrate professionalism.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledgeable on operation and troubleshooting of machines and printers
