Title: Oracle Exadata Specialist / DBA
Duration: Quarterly Patching Cycle – Approx. 240 hours per cycle (Possibility of extension)
This role begins with a 1-month pilot engagement (~240 hours) focused on Oracle Exadata and Database patching. If successful, it is expected to repeat on a quarterly basis in alignment with Oracle’s Critical Patch Update (CPU) schedule (January, April, July, October), offering potential for ongoing long-term work.
Location: Offshore (India or Costa Rica or Philippines)

Overview
We are seeking an Oracle Exadata Specialist / DBA with strong hands-on experience in patching Oracle databases and Exadata engineered systems (X7, X8, X10). This role will be part of a quarterly patching cycle supporting on-premise systems, working closely with an onshore lead and other offshore resources.

Responsibilities
Execute quarterly patching of Oracle Databases and Exadata systems (X7, X8, X10).
Perform pre-patching checks, apply patches, and validate system functionality post-patching.
Troubleshoot and escalate patching-related issues as needed.
Maintain patching documentation and ensure consistency across environments.
Collaborate with team members across time zones to deliver reliable patching cycles.

Qualifications
4+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA or Exadata Specialist.
Hands-on expertise with Oracle Database patching and engineered systems (X7, X8, X10).
Familiarity with on-premise environments and patch management best practices.
Ability to work collaboratively with onshore leadership and offshore peers.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
