Data Architect (Remote - India)

As a Data Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining database and data warehouse solutions that support key business objectives. You will collaborate closely with application architects, senior managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure robust data models, resilience, and scalability. This role requires translating business needs into high-quality technical solutions, analyzing complex datasets, and identifying patterns to enhance decision-making. You will drive strategic improvements in data processes, provide actionable insights, and contribute to the overall technology vision. The position blends technical expertise with leadership and advisory responsibilities, offering the chance to significantly impact organizational data strategy and performance.

Accountabilities:

• Design and implement database solutions and data models to optimize storage, retrieval, and integrity of enterprise data.
• Analyze client operations, applications, and processes to determine database structural requirements and improvements.
• Evaluate statistical information to identify patterns, relationships, and areas for process optimization.
• Prepare detailed architecture and design documentation for management and executive teams.
• Validate and cross-check models to ensure accuracy, generalizability, and alignment with business objectives.
• Serve as a technical advisor to application architects and management for database and data warehouse strategy.
• Drive initiatives to improve database resiliency, disaster recovery, and failover capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of overall professional experience, including at least 2 years as a Data Architect.
• 7+ years of experience with database resiliency, disaster recovery techniques, and failover strategies.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, PostgreSQL, and database architecture/design.
• Proficiency in data modeling, database optimization, and mainstream database solutions.
• Experience with BI tools, preferably Power BI.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in English.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with senior management, architects, and cross-functional teams.
