As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining enterprise systems that support employee productivity and operational efficiency. You will design, deploy, and optimize workflows, automations, and system configurations across critical platforms, with a strong focus on Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence. This role offers an opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, solve complex technical challenges, and develop scalable solutions that enhance business processes. You will act as a technical expert, mentor teammates, and help evolve best practices in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented problem-solvers with strong technical acumen and the ability to translate business needs into effective system solutions.
Accountabilities
· Architect, deploy, and maintain enterprise systems with a focus on Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
· Design workflows, automations, and policies to improve operational efficiency and user experience.
· Support deployment and management of Jira Service Management (JSM) projects handling sensitive data.
· Integrate Jira add-ons and third-party tools, such as JEMH, Structure, and Custom Charts, to extend platform capabilities.
· Assist cross-functional teams in implementing policies and technical solutions that align with business requirements.
· Develop scripts, procedures, and documentation to automate tasks and standardize system operations.
· Serve as an escalation point for technical issues and provide mentorship to junior team members.
· Translate complex business requirements into scalable, actionable system solutions.
Requirements
· Proven experience as a systems engineer or application administrator with enterprise productivity platforms.
· Advanced expertise in Jira administration, workflow design, and automation.
· Strong knowledge of Confluence, including deployment, macros, space structure, and automation.
· Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or CLI tools.
· Experience with API integrations and implementing technical solutions in high-growth environments.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to address complex technical challenges.
· Strong communication skills, capable of breaking down technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
· Ability to learn quickly, adapt to evolving business needs, and provide guidance to cross-functional teams.
