Director of Engineering (Remote - US)

In this leadership role, you will oversee multiple engineering teams responsible for developing, maintaining, and modernizing enterprise software solutions. You will guide technical strategy, mentor engineers, and ensure alignment between technology initiatives and business objectives. The position involves driving modernization from legacy systems to modern architectures, improving software quality, and establishing best practices across development, QA, release engineering, and project management. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, ensuring projects are delivered on time and technical excellence is maintained. Accountabilities:

• Lead multiple engineering teams including development, QA, release engineering, and project management.
• Set technical direction and ensure high standards of code quality, architecture, and operational excellence.
• Drive modernization initiatives, transitioning legacy applications to modern technology stacks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align engineering priorities with business goals.
• Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring milestones are met.
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical leadership to build a culture of ownership and accountability.
• Identify organizational gaps and implement solutions to increase team effectiveness and technical maturity.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software development experience, preferably in SaaS-based enterprise applications.
• 7+ years of experience leading and managing software engineering teams.
• Proven track record in distributed microservices architecture and GitOps frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of modern programming languages (Node.js, TypeScript, GoLang, Python 3, etc.) and AWS services.
• Experience overseeing complex enterprise software projects and driving technology adoption.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to proactively identify challenges and implement creative solutions.
