The Principal Product Manager will drive the strategic development of a data platform ecosystem, focusing on APIs and partner integrations to expand platform capabilities and create new revenue opportunities. This role involves shaping the platform’s extensibility strategy, collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams, and working closely with partners to deliver innovative, AI/ML-driven data solutions. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical understanding of API-driven products with strong business acumen and strategic thinking to enable scalable solutions. You will play a critical role in defining product roadmaps, driving monetization strategies, and fostering partnerships that enhance the platform’s impact and adoption. This is a remote or hybrid U.S.-based position, offering a high degree of influence on platform growth and partner success.
Accountabilities:
- Define and execute the strategy for API-driven platform extensibility, data enrichment, and partner integration initiatives.
- Drive AI/ML-powered data enrichment capabilities to create new growth opportunities.
- Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships, ensuring joint value creation and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams to translate strategy into detailed requirements, PRDs, and prototypes.
- Oversee API monetization strategies, balancing competitive positioning and cost management.
- Establish joint go-to-market initiatives with partners, fostering adoption and long-term success.
- Prioritize product roadmaps and manage cross-functional execution across distributed teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of product management experience in technology integrations, data platforms, or API-driven SaaS products.
- 3+ years applying AI/ML models to data platforms for insights and enrichment.
- Technical fluency in platform extensibility, APIs, and partner ecosystems.
- Strong customer- and partner-focused mindset, ensuring roadmap initiatives align with business needs.
- Experience collaborating across Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Marketing, and Sales teams.
- Familiarity with software engineering and product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, or Figma.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and cross-functional leadership skills, with experience working across multiple time zones.
- Preferred: knowledge of communications surveillance/compliance in Financial Services, AI/Gen-AI applications, and cloud technologies such as AWS.
