Reliability Engineer (Remote - US)

This role focuses on enhancing operational performance by ensuring equipment reliability and optimizing maintenance strategies. You will analyze equipment data, identify root causes of failures, and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs. The position involves close collaboration with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve efficiency, product quality, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver, skilled in reliability best practices, and able to drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to directly impact operational sustainability while advancing technical expertise in industrial and process manufacturing environments.
Accountabilities
· Implement, optimize, and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and reduce maintenance costs.
· Analyze equipment performance and production losses, using root cause analysis (RCM, FMECA) to improve reliability and safety.
· Administer and continuously improve mechanical and electrical maintenance systems to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
· Facilitate training on CMMS tools and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
· Evaluate critical spare parts requirements and propose technology upgrades for instrumentation, sensors, drives, and other equipment.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement reliability best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
· Support other plant reliability and maintenance responsibilities as required.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical, Mechanical, or Reliability Engineering).
· 3+ years of experience in process manufacturing or industrial equipment design/maintenance environments.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills using various methodologies.
· Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and CMMS.
· Experience with plant planning, scheduling, shutdown procedures, and best practices.
· Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and take initiative.
· Willingness to travel occasionally within North America for training or cross-site support.
· Experience facilitating multiple RCMs and applying FMECA methodologies for equipment criticality assessment.
