🛠️ About the Role

We’re looking for a Sales Representative to join our skilled and dedicated team. You’ll be part of a close‑knit group that values expertise, integrity, and long‑term customer partnerships. Whether you’re helping a mining operation upgrade its protective plating or guiding a commercial fleet through the best armor solutions for their vehicles, your work will directly strengthen the safety, performance, and reliability of our clients’ equipment. This role is a salaried and commission based.


🔧 What You’ll Do

Order Processing & Customer Service (50%)

  • Take inbound calls and emails from prospective and existing customers
  • Configure protection packages based on customer equipment and application
  • Generate accurate quotes with pricing and lead times
  • Process orders through shipping coordination
  • Answer technical questions and provide product training over the phone
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints

Proactive Sales & Account Expansion (40%)

  • Conduct quarterly check-in calls with existing customers
  • Travel occasionally to regional customer and industry association meetings (e.g., aggregate and scrap metal & recycling and others)
  • Identify expansion opportunities (hydraulic guards, sacrificial layers, additional machines)
  • Follow up on and nurture all leads and referrals
  • Conduct outbound prospecting to existing customer base
  • Schedule replacement shield reminders based on purchase history

Sales Operations & Administration (10%)

  • Maintain accurate CRM records (all calls, emails, quotes)
  • Update customer contact information
  • Generate weekly pipeline reports
  • Coordinate with production on delivery timelines
  • Assist with marketing content (customer feedback, testimonials)
  • Support trade show/meeting participation, preparation and follow-up


âś… Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • 2-5 years of experience in inside sales or customer service
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding quotas
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable with phone-based selling
  • Detail-oriented and process-focused
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Southeast U.S.


Bonus if you have:

  • Construction, equipment, or industrial background
  • Technical aptitude (can learn specs, dimensions, applications)
  • Consultative selling approach vs. transactional order-taking
  • Experience with technical or engineered products
  • Willingness to work in Raleigh office 5 days per week
