Managing Director, Complex Accounting & Litigation

J.S. Held’s Complex Accounting & Litigation team is seeking a seasoned and entrepreneurial Managing Director to expand our forensic accounting and litigation consulting services. This is a senior leadership role for a professional with deep experience in audit, forensic accounting and/or complex investigations and litigation —paired with a strong track record of working with high-performing teams, developing people and helping to grow a book of business.

As a Managing Director, you will play a role in shaping the strategic direction of the practice, leading high-impact engagements, mentoring talent, and cultivating long-term client relationships across industries and geographies.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Team Development

• Work with other senior leaders to mentor and grow a team of investigative professionals.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on quality, innovation, and client service.
• Support internal knowledge sharing, training, and professional development initiatives.

Client Engagement & Project Oversight

• Oversee and execute complex, forensic accounting, investigations and expert witness engagements.
• Guide the development of client deliverables including reports, presentations, and data visualizations.
• Serve as a senior point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and strategic insight.

Business Development & Market Expansion

• Expand your book of business and contribute to the growth of the Complex Accounting & Litigation Practice.
• Work with other leaders to develop and implement go-to-market strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with law firms, financial institutions, and corporate clients.
• Represent J.S. Held at industry events, conferences, and client engagements.
