We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our Technical Services team. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set to join the Development team, whose responsibilities extend beyond those of traditional analysis and development. The ideal person for this role will need to not only have a strong grasp of Power BI but also be flexible and a strategic thinker able to take on a variety of tasks.
This Data Analyst will be responsible for preparing data for analytical or operational uses; building data pipelines to pull together information from different source systems; integrating, consolidating, and cleansing data, and then creating visualizations, dashboards, reports, and content for employees and clients.
Job Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering – Work directly with our business partners to identify, understand, and translate key metrics into high-quality analytics solutions designed to enhance and improve critical business processes.
- Visualization Design – Ability to turn those requirements into impactful dashboards aimed at displaying large amounts of data in a way to drive better, more informed decisions for the firm. This will require a strong understanding of, and experience in building, effective charts, and visualizations.
- Dashboard Development (Power BI) – Utilize your skills and knowledge to compile your visualizations into best-in-class analytics dashboards primarily using Microsoft Power BI
- Innovation – Champion the introduction of new practices for integration, maintenance, testing, deployment, reporting & analytics.
- Governance – Work with subject matter experts to build solutions using approved calculations and data elements, emphasizing proper data governance.
- Risk & Compliance – Ensure that all BI solutions are designed and built to comply with, and always adhere to data privacy and other risk & compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
