Human Resources Business Partner

At Kajabi, we call our customers Heroes.  They are the reason we exist and our people are how we deliver on that promise. We're looking for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our  team and support our leaders with thoughtful, proactive, and tactical HR support.

This role is ideal for someone who is energized by solving real business problems, not just checking boxes. You’ll be a trusted partner to managers and leaders, helping navigate team dynamics, address performance issues early, and make sure day-to-day people operations run smoothly and strategically. You’ll bring a strong HR generalist background with working knowledge across employee relations, performance, compensation, and compliance—and a bias for action that keeps things moving.

We're looking for someone who sees problems coming, seeks to understand by asking exploratory questions, clarifies assumptions, and takes ownership of solutions. If you love the balance of people-centered work and operational excellence, this role will keep you growing.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with People Leaders: Support our teams with employee relations, performance management, and coaching conversations that align with our values and business priorities.
  • Drive Operational Rigor: Manage and support tactical HR processes such as annual performance reviews, engagement surveys, and employee check-ins.  
  • Lead and support employee culture programs such as ERGs, engagement initiatives, and company-wide announcements that foster belonging and reinforce Kajabi’s values.
  • Document employee separations and exit conversations with clarity, empathy, and compliance.
  • Own the Follow-Through: Track action items from employee conversations, investigations, or manager coaching sessions to ensure next steps happen on time.
  • Collaborate Across People Ops: Coordinate with Total Rewards, Legal, and Talent teams to ensure alignment on compensation, benefits, and compliance topics.
  • Spot Risks Early: Raise concerns proactively and help leaders think through decisions that balance empathy, accountability, and business risk.

What You'll Bring

  • 4+ years of progressive HR experience, including hands-on employee relations and performance coaching
  • Experience across core HR functions: compensation, benefits, policies, compliance, and employee engagement
  • Experience partnering with and advising business leaders and managers on employee engagement concerns and initiatives, helping translate feedback into actionable solutions
  • Proven ability to manage multiple HR cases and processes simultaneously with accuracy, follow-through, and attention to detail
  • Agility in a fast-moving environment, comfortable juggling competing business needs, pivoting quickly, and staying focused on outcomes even when priorities shift
  • Comfort with ambiguity at times, skilled at clarifying unclear requests, and shaping solutions that balance business needs with HR frameworks and compliance
  • Curiosity and hands-on interest in leveraging AI tools to streamline HR processes (such as performance calibrations, documentation, analytics) and continuously improve how we work
  • Clear, confident communication skills
  • A proactive, self-starter mindset, moving things forward without waiting for instructions
  • Familiarity with HR systems (HRIS, performance platforms, compliance systems) and the ability to use them to keep data clean, updated, and actionable
  • Passion for people, with emotional intelligence and a commitment to helping leaders and employees succeed
  • Experience in a SAAS organization with a remote/hybrid, fast-paced environment preferred
  • Experience working with offshore or global employee populations a plus

How We Work Together

We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection. 

  • For this role, we expect regular onsite presence at our Newport Beach, CA office 3 days per week.

Not local? We’re happy to provide relocation support for exceptional candidates ready to join us on-site in Newport Beach, CA.

Pay Range

At Kajabi we believe the workplace should be equitable, inclusive, and inspiring for every employee. In an effort to provide greater transparency, we are sharing the base salary range for this position. The position is also eligible for equity. Final salary is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant prior experience, or particular skills and expertise.

$90,750—$140,000 + bonus
