Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Junior Site Engineer to oversee a renovation project in Athens. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing on-site operations, coordinating teams and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications, maintaining quality and safety standards, and overseeing schedules and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Oversight: Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to approved construction plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Daily Site Management: Supervise and manage day-to-day site activities, ensuring subcontractors follow blueprints and schedules.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and legal requirements, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and audits to confirm compliance with design and quality requirements; address deficiencies promptly.
  • Progress & Reporting: Track milestones, monitor timelines, and prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders.
  • Problem Resolution: Develop technical solutions for construction challenges to prevent or resolve delays.
  • Documentation & Approvals: Maintain accurate records of construction activities, changes, and approvals; file documents with local jurisdiction when required.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to ensure alignment and address issues proactively.

Requirements

Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.

Experience: 1-3 years of construction site experience

Knowledge of construction methods, materials, industry standards, and project management practices.

Leadership, organizational, and team management skills.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under tight deadlines.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.

Familiarity with project management and reporting tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, BIM software).

Languages: Fluency in Greek (required); proficiency in English (required).
