Grover Precision is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer, based in Oxford Maine. This is a full-time position, that is an office-based position, working with the Quality and Sales departments as well as Production. Requirements of the Manufacturing Engineer
- BA or BS degree in engineering or business management.
- 1-5 years of manufacturing related experience in Medical Device, Aerospace or Auto manufacturing fields or similar and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with Visual ERP system or similar ERP system.
- Experience in ISO13485, AS9100 or ISO9001.
- Development of factory processes using Lean Manufacturing techniques.
- Good computer skills including CAD, spreadsheet and database skills.
- Work with other engineers and operators in the execution of projects.
- Self-directed, have excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills, have strong organizational abilities and be detail oriented.
- Project management skills are very important, and the ability to work cooperatively with peers to achieve goals is essential.
- Ability to produce and maintain documents and reports in Office 365 applications.

Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer
- Work with the Sales Department in responding to customer quote requests (estimates) and information requests (capabilities, process collaboration).
- Work with the Quality Department to communicate QA inspection and reporting requirements and help trouble shoot QA issues.
- Estimating process times and costs for customer requests for quotation.
- Process Planning / Process Engineering of stable manufacturing processes to meet customer requirements.
- Project / Program Management of new or complex projects through the shop in conjunction with operations managers.
- Customer Purchase Order Review for technical accuracy and compliance with our quotations.
- Customer Specification Management.
- Opening of Work Orders in ERP system.
- Benchmark and Analyze process capabilities.
- Tooling specification and design.
- Requesting purchase of materials / outsource services for jobs.
- Process Improvement.
- Work with Production to provide job routings and tooling, project manage more complex jobs through shop, including interaction with supervisors and machine operators.
- Limited customer interaction to resolve technical, quality, or schedule issues in collaboration with Sales
- Commitment to the Quality Management System (ISO 13485 and AS9100)
