Our client designs the control “brains” that keep the smart-grid running—capacitor, switchgear and source-transfer controls, peer-to-peer feeder-restoration systems, and related power-automation devices. They need a hands-on senior engineer who can lead new product development and guide a small team.

  • Design microprocessor-based controllers, analog/mixed-signal PCBs and robust power supplies.
  • Create 3D models and packaging (sheet-metal, plastics, harnesses) in SolidWorks; run tolerance stacks.
  • Write and execute V&V test plans; lead first-article and part-quality approvals.
  • Ensure designs meet UL/IEC/CSA/NEMA, NEC, EMI/EMC and thermal requirements.
  • Mentor 3–4 engineers and work cross-functionally with manufacturing on DFM / DFMEA.

What You’ll Bring

  • BSEE (or equivalent).
  • Seven plus years designing electromechanical or power-electronic products (inverters, drives, servers, switches, etc.).
  • Proven PCB layout for analog & mixed-signal boards and experience taking products into production.
  • SolidWorks 3D CAD proficiency; familiarity with sheet-metal and cable assemblies.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory compliance and grid automation a plus.
  • Bonus: FEA/thermal simulation skills.

Benefits

Why Join?

  • Competitive salary + annual ESOP share allocation (employee-owned).
  • Visa sponsorship and paid relocation.
  • Chance to shape the future of intelligent power distribution while leading a high-impact team.
