Employee Relations sits within our People & Inclusion (P&I) division at KPMG and plays a key role in ensuring our people are treated fairly and in a way that is aligned with KPMG’s values of Integrity, Excellence, Courage, Together and For Better.

Your Opportunity
This role will play a key role in providing Employee Relations support to the People & Inclusion division and the rest of KPMG. You will be instrumental in:
- Leading investigations into complex Employee Relations cases.
- Providing accurate and timely Employee Relations advice to P&I and the broader firm in relation to conduct management, performance management, grievances, employee entitlements and compliance with legal obligations under the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and other workplace laws including awards.
- Improving and maintaining Employee Relations policies and processes.
- Continually uplifting the Employee Relations skill set of People & Inclusion Business Partners through a training program and 1:1 coaching.
- Participating in various workplace law compliance initiatives including project management of those initiatives.
- Providing insight into Employee Relations trends based on internal data and recommending strategies to address those trends.
How are you extraordinary?
You have a deep knowledge of Employee Relations and an ability to provide strategic advice on Employee Relations with a strong focus on risk (including legal, well-being and reputational).
You are an experienced investigator who has high attention to detail and a robust understanding of leading a procedurally fair investigation.

Your Experience

- A degree in law or the completion of legal subjects in a commerce or business degree.
- A strong working knowledge of workplace laws including the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth), awards and other employment legislation.
- Experience working as an investigator within any industry.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence and present your ideas with impact.
- A strategic focus to all Employee Relations matters while prioritising continual improvement.
- Exceptional relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise multiple tasks appropriately, effectively lead projects and manage time effectively across a wide variety of tasks and projects.
