Our ideal data analyst is someone who enjoys working with complex data sets to uncover actionable insights that drive commercial impact and improve product performance. They have a strong interest in product analytics, experimentation, and translating data into clear recommendations that influence business and customer outcomes. Working within a highly agile environment, they will be hands-on with data modelling, analysis, and dashboarding, partnering closely with product, engineering, and commercial teams to inform roadmap decisions, optimise user journeys, and support data-driven growth.

What you'll do

Own and define key metrics used in dashboards, including clear documentation and consistent definitions

Write and maintain complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data from production systems

Analyze trends, anomalies, and patterns in data and proactively surface insights to stakeholders

Work with product managers and stakeholders to translate business questions into precise data requirements

Collaborate with software engineers to ensure dashboards reflect correct logic and appropriate aggregation

Validate dashboard numbers and investigate discrepancies between different data sources or reports

Support ad-hoc analysis requests and deep dives that go beyond standard dashboards

Improve data trust by identifying data quality issues and proposing fixes or safeguards
What you'll need

Strong level of data skills/analytics experience.

Learns fast and is enthusiastic about learning new technologies & processes

Be highly proficient in DBT and SQL, capable of working on large complex datasets while seeing the big picture

Experience building data pipelines and working with engineering teams

Curious and self driven - when faced with a new problem is capable of seeking out an answer without lots of help and support

Highly data literate and numerate - can make sense of lots of data and shape it into a coherent story

Great communicator, can explain complex technical problems to non-technical teams

Experience writing accurate and performant queries in SQL

Experience working in a modern cloud data warehouse environment

Experience working collaboratively on codebases using git

Front-end/Dashboarding experience
It would be great if you had
-
Comfortable with energy/utilities and other relevant subject areas.

Experience with BI tools, in particular Databricks and Tableau
-
Experience using Python or R for analysis

Familiarity with product analytics concepts (funnels, cohorts, retention, segmentation)
-
Exposure to data modeling or analytics engineering concepts
-
Experience working in a software or product-led organisation
