About the role:

The travel consultant – Operations is in a close cooperation with the Japanspecialist Sales consultants and have no direct communication with the client itself, except for B2B agents as needed. The travel consultant – Operations is quoting and securing bookings for the requested services by checking various suppliers. He/she provides a support function for the sales team and is responsible for communicating with local suppliers to deliver high quality travel packages for our customers. Depending on seasonality, he/she may be assigned for emergency duty services per annual EM duty schedule.

Key Activities

Operations

o   Provide streamlined workflow with reply and filing from shared mailbox.

o   Work closely and follow-up with sales team.

o   Prepare quotations and itinerary (when needed) for new enquiries and bookings within operation standard deadlines.

o   Attention to detail and strive for excellence in product quality to ensure that our customers receive the highest level of service possible.

o   Co-ordinate all aspects of the client booking, including reservations, to ensure successful delivery of trip

o   Prepare travel documents for confirmed reservations, ensure high quality, accurate information is received by our clients

o   Communicate with B2B agents regarding travel arrangements for their clients, as needed

o   Negotiate and communicate with suppliers

o   Research new services and suppliers to enhance JS portfolio

o   Resolution of on tour emergencies of clients in close cooperation with sales team. Emergency weekend duty per annual schedule.

o   Complete ad-hoc assignments per indications of Operations Manager

Product planning and development

o   Create new and review existing products and packages in close collaboration with the local sales and ops teams and Operations manager

o   Create and update quotation templates for new and updated products

o   Prepare itinerary templates for existing and new packages

o   Participation in travel fairs and destination workshops to extend destination knowledge

o   Participate in fam trips to get insight knowledge of the destination, share insights with your team members

o   Work closely with local sales team and listen to the local specifics of the products

o   Take a proactive approach in learning and development to ensure your product knowledge is always improving
