Salaried, full-time USD 80,000.0 - 115,000.0Job Overview
About the role
Kuvare is seeking a QA Analyst to join our Data Foundations Team (DFT). This role is responsible for end-to-end quality across our data and application platforms. Kuvare is seeking a talented individual with advanced QA expertise who can work across systems: legacy, cloud, UI, APIs, and Data (SQL) — and embed quality at every stage of our SDLC.
What you'll do
- Own QA strategy from intake through production release.
- Review backlog items to ensure acceptance criteria are testable and measurable.
- Create test plans and data validation strategies for Features and Tickets.
- Use automation / development and testing frameworks (e.g. Swagger, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Postman, etc.).
- Represent QA in every Scrum ceremony and SDLC milestone.
- Track QA metrics (e.g. coverage, defect escape, cycle time impact) and drive improvement.
- Stay current with QA trends, including AI-based testing approaches.
- Partner with Product Owners and Business Analysts to decompose user stories into clear, testable acceptance criteria.
- Confirm that ingested and transformed data align with business rules, definitions, and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate smooth integration testing across upstream and downstream systems to confirm end-to-end data and process accuracy.
- Apply diverse testing methods (functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, black/white/grey box) across APIs, UI, and Azure data workloads (ADF, Databricks, Synapse, ADLS).
- Perform performance, load, accessibility, and security testing to confirm system resilience and compliance.
- Document and track defects, validating fixes and maintaining clear QA evidence.
- Participate in design and code reviews, offering QA input on requirements, schedules, risks, and quality impact.
- Monitor and communicate QA metrics (coverage, defect escape, cycle time) to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Information Systems) and 5+ years of experience, or a total of 8+ years of experience as a QA professional.
- Experience executing tests for APIs, UI, and Azure data workloads (e.g. ADF, Synapse, ADLS).
- Experiences evaluating and recommending QA tools and methodologies that improve coverage and efficiency.
- Ability to prevent downstream defects in reporting, analytics, and product functionality by identifying data issues early in the lifecycle and addressing corrupt or incomplete data.
- Proven communication skills necessary to bridge gaps between Business Analysts, Developers, and Data Engineers by clarifying data mapping, transformation logic, and edge cases.
- Design, execute, and maintain test plans, scenarios, and automation scripts that meet Kuvare’s quality standards.
- Ability to use modern automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Postman, Great Expectations, etc.) to validate functionality, performance, and data integrity.
- Previous experience in Life Insurance and / or Annuities.
