Job Overview
Kyowa Kirin is a fast-growing global specialty pharmaceutical company that applies state-of-the-art biotechnologies to discover and deliver novel medicines in four disease areas: bone and mineral; intractable hematologic; hematology oncology; and rare disease. Supports the site HR Director and site cross-function key stakeholders in supporting/delivering key project work that encompass site key HR Objectives, Site Operational Readiness Activities, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, L&D, and HR Operations such as and not limited to: Employee experience, Engagement and Culture Development, Performance Management, Compensation Planning support, Talent Management and Development initiatives, On-boarding and New Hire orientation, Workforce planning tracking, HR metric tracking/reporting, and other site initiatives as assigned.
May collaborate with Internal Communications lead supporting various site initiatives to improve employee connection, engagement, and the overall employee experience.
This role reports to the Director Human Resources, Site Manufacturing
• Supports the Site HR Director and COEs and cross-functional HR and Business key stakeholders.
• Support key initiatives to ensure key HR initiatives/projects are met accurately and within expected timelines. Additionally, work requirements will include, yet are not limited to:
• Assists with workforce change transactions, reports and analytics in HR, coordinates and supports Regional sponsored events (i.e., Site KKNA Benefits Fair, etc.). Collaborates and assists regional HRBP colleagues and COE’s to support broader HR programs and/or events.
• Partners closely with the site HR Director and Internal Communications Lead to deliver initiatives designed to improve employee onboarding/site connection, engagement/retention, the overall employee experience, and corporate citizenship initiatives.
• May provide general consultative support and guidance to managers on resolution of general employee performance matters; will escalate to Site HR Director and/or ER COE lead for further evaluation and to determine if corrective and/or disciplinary action is needed.
• Demonstrates a general knowledge of HR processes and labor laws; supports, coordinates, and tracks site leave management and return to work activities; performs work under minimal direction and often independently; demonstrates strong/clear communication skills and escalates matters to site HR Director timely and as needed.
• May complete moderate to complex analysis, and based on results of analysis, proactively offers solutions, while seeking to identify process efficiencies and/or improvements.
• Demonstrates the ability to organize and manage personal workload over the long term to meet deliverable expectations effectively. Secures work is effectively prioritized and executed within HR expected deliverables. As needed, escalates deliverable issues/concerns to HR Director.
• Under direction of the HR Director, may assist in supporting organization design projects, including coordination and facilitation support of site-specific training and/or employee engagement programs.
• Provides broad support to site employees and management to ensure key HR and Site operational readiness initiatives are met.
• Participates in additional projects as needed.
Individual contributor with generalist HR support responsibility.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or Related field (preferred). Associate’s degree in business or related field, or High School degree with direct related experience in related field.
Experience
Bachelor’s degree; At least 2 years progressive HR generalist or comparable experience. HR related internship experience will be considered. Direct industry experience preferred.
Associates degree; At least 3 years progressive HR generalist experience. Direct industry experience preferred.
High School degree; at least 5 years progressive direct industry HR generalist experience.
Technical Skills
Proficient in HRIS; Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Non-Technical Skills
Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, meet deadlines, make decisions, and change course of action quickly. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong work ethic is required. Detail oriented and excellent follow through. Has the ability to flex and meet objectives with high ambiguity in a dynamic, fast-paced, high growth environment. Has a passion for personal learning and development to be able to grow with the company. Cultural sensitivity and ability to develop consensus within a multinational organization. Proven ability to organize and manage personal workload over the long term to meet deliverable expectations effectively.
Must be able to work in an office and regulated manufacturing environment, including construction/start-up phases, with appropriate PPE. Reasonable accommodation will be provided as required by law.
This position is based on-site in Sanford, NC. Other standard company policies for flexible work arrangements do not apply to this role. This is not a hybrid or remote role.
The anticipated salary for this position will be $54,100 to $81,200. The actual salary offered for this role at commencement of employment may vary based on several factors including but not limited to relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, education (including applicable licenses and certifications, job-based knowledge, location, and other business and organizational needs.
