We are looking for a strategic and analytical leader to own pricing analysis, execution and marketplace optimization. In this high-impact role, you will partner closely with the Platform Growth function and various stakeholders to ensure Lalamove delivers the most optimized, competitive, and profitable price to our users. You will leverage advanced analytics and dynamic pricing mechanisms to win in the market.

We are looking for a strategic and analytical leader to own pricing analysis, execution and marketplace optimization. In this high-impact role, you will partner closely with the Platform Growth function and various stakeholders to ensure Lalamove delivers the most optimized, competitive, and profitable price to our users. You will leverage advanced analytics and dynamic pricing mechanisms to win in the market. 

What You Will Do

  • Lead Competitive Intelligence & Pricing Strategy: Own the end-to-end monitoring and benchmarking of competitor pricing activity. Translate raw data into aggressive, data-backed pricing actions.
  • Own Pricing Execution: Drive the implementation of surcharge structures, surge pricing, promotional incentives, and other dynamic pricing models to balance marketplace liquidity, driver supply, and customer affordability.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze massive datasets to identify price elasticity, demand patterns, and competitive gaps. Use these insights to recommend and execute real-time pricing adjustments that optimize for both volume and yield.
  • Strategic Reporting & Governance: Establish a rigorous reporting rhythm for senior leadership. Define key marketplace metrics and deliver actionable narratives to guide global strategy.
  • Continuous Optimization: Identify structural gaps and automation opportunities within existing markets. Proactively evolve pricing logic to stay ahead of a rapidly changing competitive landscape.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s or Postgraduate Degree in Business, Economics, Analytics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Proven years of experience in data analytics, strategy, or commercial finance. Proven track record in pricing, revenue management, or marketplace optimization is highly preferred.
  • Expert-level SQL, python skills and advanced proficiency in Excel. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) and statistical modeling is a strong plus.
  • Deep understanding of multiple-sided marketplace dynamics, including surge pricing, incentive optimization, and price sensitivity modeling.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity. This role evolves constantly, you must be comfortable redefining your scope as the business scales and competitive dynamics shift.
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects or teams within a commercial/data function. Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across functions.
