Job Overview

RECRUITING PEER MOBILIZER

  • Identify and recruit Peer Mobilizers (PM)—people in their social networks (e.g., friends, sex or drug use partners, family members, etc.) who are at certain risk of getting or transmitting HIV.
  • Provide an orientation, along with training to newly recruited peer mobilizers and coaching individually on topics in basic of HIV prevention, HIV self-testing, how to convince clients to say “Yes for test”, number of coupons returned and incentive calculation.
  • Works online and, in face-to-face, to motivate and encourage PMs to test friends and acquaintances from their social networks to test for HIV.
  • Supports mobilizers to engage in dialogue with friends, partners and acquaintances and encourages them to seek agreement to test for HIV.

 

INFORMED CONSENT & AGREEMENT

  • Ensure signing off the letter of “Informed Consent & Agreement” which is between LPK and newly recruited PM.

 

COACHING

  • Provide follow up coaching to individual PM after orientation training by using the LPK developed standard coaching checklist.

 

ADVOCACY & REFERRAL

  • Leading the SNS advocacy activities in meeting with social influencers who can influence positively to larger size of social networks sharing the same risk behaviours that increase the chances of getting or transmitting HIV.

EVALUATE ON FEEDBACK

  • Participate in feedback collection of individual PM performance which to evaluate additional from number of coupon distributed and number of coupons returned for HTS.
  • Help mobilizers to determine who, within their networks, is most at risk for HIV and therefore should ensure receiving a coupon and be tested for HIV.
  • Monitor individual PM’s performance by tracking the coupons status (distributed Vs returned with HIV testing done).

 

COUPON MANAGEMENT

  • Distributing SNS coupons printed with identifiable encoded unique IDs which can distinguish easily to know which belongs to which peer mobilizer.
  • Manage the SNS coupons properly in aligned with LPK provided coupon tracker template which to complete unique PM Identity and number of coupons (distributed, returned, tested, failed) and result of HIV testing.
  • Calculate reimbursement of incentives for individual PM with number of coupons tested for HIV.
  • Mitigate from any potential frauds of misusing coupons for getting incentives even not meet to SNS criteria.

COLLABORATION

  • Closely working with Peer Navigator (PN) for peer mobilizer recruitment who diagnosed recently of HIV infection.
  • Making internal advocacy on concept of SNS, role of himself and role of Peer Mobilizer.
  • Identifying potential Peer Mobilizer (PM) in closely collaborate with other parties (internal), to assess interest and making welcome with motivational messages.

ENSURING CONFIDENTIALITY

  • To protect the privacy and confidentiality of clients who accessing LPK SNS program.
  • Making signed-off to every individual Peer Mobilizer (PM) regarding to keep confidentiality in specifically mentioned condition including even after ending of LPK PM.
  • Ensure Peer Mobilizer (PM) must carry out efforts to contact and communicate with friends, partners, and families in a manner that preserves the confidentiality and privacy of all involved.
  • Ensure working space has enough measures to protect client’s data confidentiality.

DATA COLLECTION & REPORTING

  • Collect data and prepare reports based on existing M&E indicators of SNS compiled from individual PM and other collaborators as needed.
