We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support plaintiff-side civil litigation, with a strong focus on medical malpractice and sexual abuse cases. Qualifications
- 5+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably in personal injury and medical malpractice
- Plaintiff-side litigation experience required
- Experience preparing and filing lawsuits from inception through resolution
- Trial preparation and trial support experience
- Mediation and deposition experience strongly preferred
- Multi-state litigation experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Manage litigation cases from pre-suit through trial
- Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents
- Prepare and file documents in state and federal courts using e-filing systems
- Maintain and manage litigation calendars, deadlines, and court requirements
- Coordinate and prepare attorneys for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial
- Organize and maintain case files and exhibits
- Provide trial preparation and in-court trial support
- Communicate effectively with clients, experts, courts, and opposing counsel
