We are seeking a skilled AV Field Service Technician to install, service, and support commercial audiovisual (AV) systems in corporate, education, healthcare, and government environments. This role is hands-on and client-facing, responsible for ensuring AV systems are installed correctly, tested thoroughly, and fully operational.
The ideal candidate has experience with commercial AV integrations, strong troubleshooting skills, and a professional demeanor when working onsite with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure commercial AV systems including displays, projectors, video walls, control systems, DSPs, conferencing systems, and audio systems
  • Pull, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (Cat6, fiber, speaker wire, HDMI, control wiring)
  • Rack build and equipment mounting
  • Install AV hardware including cameras, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, switchers, and control panels
  • Read and interpret AV schematics, signal flow diagrams, and construction drawings
  • Diagnose and resolve system issues in the field
  • Perform preventative maintenance visits
  • Replace or repair defective components
  • Update firmware and system programming (when applicable)
  • Document service activity and system changes

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience installing or servicing commercial AV systems
  • Strong knowledge of signal flow and AV system fundamentals
  • Experience with commercial AV equipment (e.g., Crestron, Extron, QSC, Biamp, Shure, Cisco, Poly)
  • Ability to read AV drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Experience terminating Cat6 and other low-voltage cabling
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
