Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical systems on multifamily projects, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and low-voltage systems.
  • Review architectural and engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents to identify electrical requirements and potential risks.
  • Develop quantity take-offs and material lists using blueprints, schematics, and electrical codes.
  • Analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes, negotiate pricing, and include in overall project estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to clarify project scope and ensure accuracy in estimates.
  • Maintain and update historical data and cost databases for future estimating purposes.
  • Ensure all estimates comply with local building codes, safety standards, and industry regulations.
  • Assist in pre-bid meetings and provide technical support to clients and internal teams.
  • Track project costs during construction to compare actuals against estimates and improve future estimating accuracy.

  • 3+ years related work experience
