Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical systems on multifamily projects, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and low-voltage systems.
- Review architectural and engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents to identify electrical requirements and potential risks.
- Develop quantity take-offs and material lists using blueprints, schematics, and electrical codes.
- Analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes, negotiate pricing, and include in overall project estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to clarify project scope and ensure accuracy in estimates.
- Maintain and update historical data and cost databases for future estimating purposes.
- Ensure all estimates comply with local building codes, safety standards, and industry regulations.
- Assist in pre-bid meetings and provide technical support to clients and internal teams.
- Track project costs during construction to compare actuals against estimates and improve future estimating accuracy.
