We are seeking an experienced Grading Project Manager to oversee and manage commercial sitework and paving projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, budgeting, and supervising grading and paving operations while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of earthwork, site development, asphalt paving, and subcontractor coordination.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management & Execution
  • Manage multiple commercial grading and paving projects simultaneously.
  • Oversee project lifecycle including estimating support, planning, scheduling, execution, and project closeout.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and ensure milestones are met.
  • Monitor project costs, track budgets, and manage change orders.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure quality, productivity, and compliance with specifications.
  • Pre-Construction & Planning
  • Review plans, specifications, contracts, and geotechnical reports.
  • Coordinate with estimators during bid handoff and preconstruction meetings.
  • Identify project risks, site constraints, and constructability concerns.
  • Procure materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Team & Subcontractor Coordination
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
  • Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication among stakeholders.
  • Coordinate field crews, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Resolve project issues and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Promote a strong safety culture on all job sites.
  • Maintain compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Track project progress, daily reports, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Prepare regular status updates for leadership and clients.
  • Support project billing and closeout documentation.
