Job Overview

We Need

A Seasoned Investigator

Our senior quality assurance engineer is keen-eyed and able to spot inaccuracies from a bird's-eye POV. When a potential problem is detected, you are able to quickly swoop in before the problem can be realised. You will lead the development of functionality, regression, and testing solutions – developing test plans for both new and existing products.

You’re a champion at implementing high quality standards throughout a product’s development process, not just at the end. You’re never satisfied with the status quo and are always looking for ways to improve.

You actively take part in the discovery and design phases of new product feature development, promoting continuous testing as an attempt to guarantee an error-free final product.

You act as the glue that holds the engineering and product teams together, working collaboratively throughout our products' life cycles.

As someone who’s had years of experience, you will be working to set scalable strategies within the team and create an environment where QA engineers can thrive.

You Will…

  • Be embedded with multiple teams: you will work closely with product managers, designers, and software engineers to ensure that we're delivering an exceptional experience to all our users.

  • Be the product guardian: ensure that deliverables on product requirements are delivered on time while maintaining functionality and design. Keep the concerned management team informed of the status of the testing processes and report any issues that may arise.

  • Be a development process guru: you have experience working with end-to-end feature development teams and defining the QA process for your team. This may involve looking at the current development process to identify opportunities for process enhancements.

  • Test thoroughly and precisely: you are meticulous in your work, and passionate about testing. You consider every possible scenario during exploratory testing and can spot bugs that others might not notice.

  • Be a puzzle solver: you are a problem solver who is passionate about solving different types of bugs. You are comfortable with using various tools to find out the root causes of issues and have worked with Jira (or other bug reporting tools) to communicate bugs effectively with engineers, PMs, and designers.

  • Be a learner: tech progress is what keeps QA testing exciting. And for you, it means seeking ongoing education to keep up with the latest QA strategies, programming languages, testing methods and tools.

  • Deal with sudden changes: there will be plans that undergo constant modifications that you must be able to adapt to, adjust to the changes in the workflow, and remain resilientto stressful situations.

  • Manage time and prioritise: you understand what needs to be done now and what can be delayed. Being able to decipher what is important and urgent according to deadlines and goals is a key part of a testing strategy.

  • Pursue effective teamwork: you will work with other QA Engineers to improve the QA activities across the business, and identify opportunities to improve manual testing efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Write manual regression tests for new, and existing features, and work with other software engineers to determine which tests need to be automated.
