About the Role

Leapfrog is seeking a highly organized, curious, and collaborative individual looking to get their foot in the door on a fast-paced sales team! Our Sales Merchandising Coordinator serves as a key connector between sales, logistics, finance, and retail partners. This position plays a critical role in bringing products to life in major retail systems, especially Walmart and Walmart.com. A great opportunity for hands-on exposure to retail sales operations and a strong foundation for future growth within a sales organization!


What You’ll Do

  • Own new item set-up process, product detail pages (PDPs), price change submissions, and item maintenance within our retail partners internal systems for both brick and mortar and ecommerce businesses (mainly Walmart and Walmart.com).
  • Ensure all necessary information for new items is input correctly, including product details, pricing, and categorization.
  • Regularly review existing data to identify inaccuracies or inconsistencies and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Troubleshoot any issues or discrepancies encountered during data entry or maintenance processes.
  • Manage the setup and onboarding process for new vendors and business partnerships, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including logistics and finance, to facilitate smooth import order processing and resolve any operational or financial issues.
  • Stay updated on Walmart Retail Link system updates, enhancements, and best practices.
  • Work with internal teams to provide customers with product samples, images, and specs as required.
  • Cross train for backup support other customer system heavy tasks owned by the sales team.


Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Merchandising, or a related field (while a degree is preferred, relevant work experience can also be considered)
  • 1+ year of corporate experience in a high-volume, detail-oriented role
  • Experience with retailer systems or portals (ex: Walmart Retail Link, Item360, Supplier One) preferred, but not required
  • Proven ability to manage high volumes of detailed work with accuracy and consistency
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive, process-oriented approach to task management and problem solving
  • Ability to learn new tools quickly and navigate ambiguity while maintaining attention to detail
  • Process-driven mindset with the ability to document, improve, and maintain workflows
  • Effective communicator with strong cross-functional collaboration skills

Leapfrog is currently operating under a hybrid work model, and this position will report on site to our Lincoln Park office at least 2 days per week. Additional ad-hoc in office days may be required based on business needs. Please do not apply if you are not comfortable with a hybrid work model. #LI-hybrid


Salary Band

$50,000 - 60,000, full-time, salaried, exempt, hybrid


Please note: Most candidates can expect to be positioned within the low to mid-range of the designated compensation band. This approach is designed to set realistic expectations while providing employees with the opportunity for growth and development within their roles. Placement toward the higher end of the band may be considered based on relevant experience, specialized skills, and other qualifications.
