About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager III to support an advanced audio technology team developing next‑generation solutions for AR/VR devices, smart glasses, and other emerging hardware. This team is focused on breakthrough audio capabilities—including signal processing, acoustics, and machine‑learning‑driven audio features—that enable seamless communication and enhanced human interaction in complex acoustic environments.
This role requires a proactive, detail‑oriented project manager who can operate independently while collaborating closely with audio engineers, researchers, product teams, and cross‑functional technical partners. You will drive planning, execution, logistics, and communication across multiple feature development workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution

- Coordinate cross‑functional workflows across engineering, research, product, and operations teams.
- Oversee resource planning, scheduling, and prioritization across multiple concurrent workstreams.
Progress Tracking & Risk Management
- Monitor project milestones, dependencies, and risks; proactively identify issues and implement mitigation strategies.
- Maintain clear documentation of progress, decisions, and action items.
Cross‑Functional Communication
- Provide clear, concise updates to stakeholders, including status reports, risk summaries, and dependency tracking.
- Facilitate alignment across technical and non‑technical partners.
Evaluation Session Coordination
- Plan and manage end‑to‑end evaluation sessions for audio features, including scheduling, participant coordination, onsite logistics, and feedback collection.
- Ensure teams have consistent exposure to new features and opportunities for structured evaluation.
Operational & Vendor Support
- Oversee vendor services, equipment procurement, and operational logistics.
- Support additional operational initiatives as needed to keep the team running smoothly.
Onsite Requirement
- This role requires onsite presence three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) at the Redmond campus.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of project management experience within research, engineering, or product development environments.
- Strong organizational, time‑management, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.
- Experience collaborating with cross‑functional technical teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience; PMP or similar certification preferred.
Must‑Have Skills
- End‑to‑end coordination of evaluation sessions (scheduling, logistics, participant management, cross‑functional communication).
- Ability to drive planning, deliverables, and resource alignment across technical teams.
- Familiarity with audio‑related domains such as DSP, acoustics, or hearing science (preferred but not required).
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
- Experience in large tech companies, audio technology organizations, or hearing‑science‑related industries.
- Background in product development or research environments.
Key Projects & Day‑to‑Day Work
- Lead planning and delivery of audio feature development.
- Track progress, manage risks, and resolve issues.
- Communicate status and dependencies to stakeholders.
- Organize and run feature evaluation sessions.
- Maintain documentation and ensure task completion.
- Support vendor management and equipment procurement.
- Assist with operational projects across the team.
