Oversight Board Liaison
Job Overview
About the Role
The client’s Content Policy organization is seeking an Oversight Board Liaison to support its independent Oversight Board review process. This role is responsible for evaluating potential cases for Board consideration, drafting high‑quality written submissions explaining the organization’s policy decisions, and managing day‑to‑day case operations. The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker with experience in law, policy, or advocacy—particularly with strong legal writing skills—and demonstrated success managing complex, cross‑functional projects. Experience in human rights law is beneficial but not required.
This position centers on researching cases appealed to the Oversight Board, analyzing the organization’s actions and policy applications, and articulating the rationale behind those decisions in clear, persuasive written materials. The Liaison will collaborate closely with internal teams to identify process improvements, support policy refinement, and coordinate live briefings for Board members and staff.
As part of the client’s Content Policy team, this individual will work alongside subject matter experts in content and product policy. The role requires a deep understanding of the organization’s policies, values, and operational frameworks in order to effectively support the Oversight Board and the broader ecosystem of users. The Liaison will also manage high‑visibility content escalations and, at times, make time‑sensitive decisions regarding content removal or allowance.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, a structured thinker, and a proactive problem‑solver who can navigate ambiguity, synthesize complex information, and build trust with cross‑functional partners. Given the nature of content‑related escalations, occasional early morning, late evening, or weekend work may be required.

- Build strong relationships with internal partners across Public Policy, Governance, Operations, Engineering, Product Management, Communications, Marketing, Partnerships, and Legal
- Provide structured feedback to operational and policy teams to support implementation of Oversight Board recommendations
- Serve as a global escalation point for policy‑related issues and manage internal communications during high‑priority events
- Work with content that may include graphic, sensitive, or objectionable material, including imagery, video, audio, or written content involving offensive language, self‑harm, or other disturbing themes
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in law, government, public policy, or a related field
