The Network Security & Automation team builds platforms that enforce security and compliance policy across LinkedIn's production network infrastructure. Our systems manage network access control and policy enforcement across cloud and on-prem environments — translating security intent into safe, automated outcomes. We partner closely with Information Security, Cloud Infrastructure, and Network Reliability teams.

 

As a Staff Software Engineer,  You will own the technical direction of LinkedIn's network access control platform — the system that governs which services can communicate with each other across all of production. You will design systems for policy evaluation, automated change propagation, and compliance enforcement across Azure and on-prem data centers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Own the architecture for LinkedIn's network security policy platform (Python, Go

  • Design systems for safe, automated propagation of network access changes at scale

  • Build high-quality, production-grade software with strong engineering discipline, including comprehensive testing, code reviews, and continuous integration.

  • Drive operational maturity — deployment safety, observability, and incident response

  • Raise the bar for engineering excellence by defining best practices, driving technical rigor, and mentoring engineers across the team.

  • Collaborate across InfoSec, Apps, NRE and Cloud Infrastructure
