Linux System Administrator (Senior-Level)

Link Solutions is seeking a Linux System Administrator (Senior-Level) to join our team at Adelphi, MD.

• Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

Our Linux System Administrator (Senior-Level) will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of Windows-based workstations and services in compliance with DoD and ARL IT policies at the Army Research Laboratory in Adelphi, MD.

Job Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and manage RHEL systems and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization environments.
• Administer KVM virtualization, Puppet automation, and kernel-level tuning.
• Implement system patching, STIG compliance, and release/version control.
• Monitor performance, handle incident response, and ensure uptime and data integrity.
• Automate tasks using shell scripting, Ansible, or equivalent configuration management tools.
• Maintain backup and recovery solutions and ensure disaster recovery readiness.
• Conduct system audits and enforce DoD security requirements.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive configuration documentation.
