Job Overview

About the role

Lisinski Law Firm is building a modern immigration platform designed to scale with clarity, trust, and operational rigor. Design plays a foundational role by transforming complex legal and operational work into experiences that people can understand, use, and rely on every day.

The Lead Product Designer – Platform is responsible for establishing and evolving the design foundations that support product development across the firm. This role partners closely with Product Management and Engineering to ensure internal platforms, client-facing experiences, and automation workflows remain coherent, usable, and resilient as the firm grows.

Reporting into Product leadership, this role focuses on design systems, design methodology, and cross-platform experience integrity, while remaining hands-on with high-impact design work. The Lead Product Designer sets direction for how design operates at Lisinski Law Firm: how problems are explored, how decisions are documented, and how solutions scale across teams and systems.

This is a full-time position intended to provide senior design leadership and execution capacity during an active phase of platform development. The role combines hands-on contribution with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring and guiding Product Designers as needed.

What You'll Do:

Establish Design Foundations & Systems

·        Define and maintain the firm’s design system, including core components, patterns, interaction standards, and accessibility guidelines

·        Establish design tenets and principles that guide decisions across internal tools, client-facing experiences, and automation workflows

·        Design foundational AI patterns with a focus on visual systems, design languages, and brand direction

·        Ensure consistency and coherence across platforms as features, teams, and services scale

·        Create contribution and governance models so design decisions remain durable without slowing delivery

Lead Platform & Shared-Service Design Work

·        Design and oversee end-to-end workflows across intake, case management, documentation, communication, and client transparency

·        Partner with Product Managers to shape problem definition, discovery, and solution framing before work enters delivery

·        Translate complex legal and operational requirements into clear, usable experiences for both staff and clients

·        Ensure design decisions reduce cognitive load, error risk, and misinterpretation in high-stakes workflows

·        Identify opportunities to improve usability, efficiency, and clarity across platform experiences

Partner Closely with Product & Engineering

·        Work alongside Product and Engineering to define how design fits into planning, discovery, and delivery rhythms

·        Identify success metrics ensuring design solutions continue to deliver customer value

·        Ensure design intent is clearly documented and carried through implementation

·        Balance speed and quality by helping teams make informed tradeoffs

·        Advocate for usability, clarity, and experience integrity in platform-level decisions

Operate in a Regulated, High-Stakes Environment

·        Design experiences that respect legal, compliance, and operational constraints

·        Ensure client-facing experiences balance transparency with accuracy and appropriate risk controls

·        Partner with Legal, Operations, and Compliance to review sensitive workflows and edge cases

·        Treat clarity, consistency, and predictability as safety features

What Makes You a Great Fit:

·        Must be available to work in EST, CST, or PST.

·        8–10+ years of experience in Product Design, UX Design, or Service Design, with a focus on complex, platform, or enterprise systems

·        Professional fluency in English (written and spoken)

·        Demonstrated excellence in interaction design, information architecture, and translating research into clear design decisions

·        Proven experience building and maintaining design systems and cross-platform foundations

·        Experience designing workflows that support regulated, high-stakes, or operationally complex work

·        Demonstrated interest or experience applying AI thoughtfully within product workflows; experience with AI-enabled products is a plus

·        Ability to manage time effectively across one or multiple initiatives, independently and collaboratively

·        Ability to break large bodies of work into phased execution plans and lead cross-functional teams from concept through implementation

·        Proven ability to own work end-to-end in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments

·        Confidence presenting work and articulating design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

·        Strong commitment to accessibility and inclusive design

·        Ability to integrate feedback from multiple teams and facilitate productive design discussions

·        Experience measuring design success using qualitative and quantitative methods

·        Experience working within agile or iterative product development environments

·        Background in legal, healthcare, finance, government, or other regulated domains is a plus

·        Bachelor’s degree in Design or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience

Portfolio Essentials:

·        A portfolio demonstrating the full product design lifecycle, from problem framing to shipped solutions

·        Case studies that clearly articulate context, process, decisions, and outcomes

·        Examples of web and mobile design, including responsive and system-driven approaches

·        Evidence of design system thinking, including component libraries and scalable patterns

·        Demonstrated use of research and usability testing to inform design decisions
