We have an opening for a Postdoctoral Researcher specializing in the area of epitaxial growth and semiconductor devices. You will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting work in the areas of pulsed power, high power microwaves, and power electronics. This position is in the Materials Engineering Division (MED), within the Engineering Directorate.
This position requires full-time on-site presence due to the nature of the work.
In this role you will
- Conduct research in and development of radiofrequency and pulsed power systems.
- Design, build, and test radiofrequency devices and components such as transistors, amplifiers, circulators, antennas, non-linear transmission lines, and oscillators.
- Work closely with an interdisciplinary team consisting of engineers, technicians, and integration experts from LLNL in all aspects of device and system development, to complete project goals.
- Publish research results in peer-reviewed scientific or technical journals and present results at external conferences seminars and/or technical meetings.
- Pursue independent (but complementary) research interests and interact with a broad spectrum of scientists internally and externally.
- Perform all assignments safely in accordance with ES&H, security, and business practice requirements and policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
