You will work as a team member and will interact on a regular basis with co‐workers within the assigned laboratory team, ES&H, and Radiation Calibration Lab (RCL) clients within the Laboratory. You may have technical lead responsibility in specific assignments (i.e., may direct work of RCL team members during day‐to‐day operations and in special field evaluation of technical equipment). • Qualify and maintain proficiency in all RCL systems (i.e., Category II Sealed Source Irradiators, Gulmay X-Ray, pressure and flow systems, electronic pulsers, scalers, multimeters, etc.) and as an RCL Calibration Technician and provide training and mentorship to other RCL staff.
  • Maintain working-level knowledge of industry and statutory standards for equipment used for and related to the operation, service, and maintenance of radiation detection instruments (e.g., ANSI N323AB); adapt practices and guidelines to ensure compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
