Job Overview

We have multiple openings for undergraduate level students to engage in practical research to further their educational goals. You will provide technical and/or research support to projects in the areas of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, optical engineering, advanced manufacturing, material science, data science, applied physics, bio-engineering, chemical engineering, ceramic engineering and processing, non-destructive evaluation, or other related fields. These positions are within the Materials Engineering Division (MED), within the Engineering Directorate.

You will 

  • Provide technical and/or research support to projects in the areas of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, optical engineering, material science, data science, applied physics, bio-engineering, non-destructive evaluation, advanced manufacturing, chemical engineering, ceramic engineering and processing, or other related fields, working with engineers, scientists, and technical staff members.
  • Participate in research and/or projects in assigned area under close supervision.
  • Gather and analyze data or information in support of scientific research.
  • Present and communicate results to the research group.
  • Attend relevant seminars.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
