Job Overview

TL;DR - We are seeking a People Operations Manager to help build and scale our agile people operations function in Sweden, working closely with and reporting to our Head of HR. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a high-growth startup and is eager to create scalable HR processes while staying flexible and pragmatic. As part of an international team, you’ll also help extend our people operations practices in other geographical markets as we expand.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years in HR and payroll administration, preferably in a high-growth startup.

  • Experience with immigration and relocation.

  • Strong understanding of Swedish labor law and HR compliance requirements.

  • Proven experience managing an HRIS system; confident working with data, spreadsheets, and basic analysis.

  • Mindset: “No ego,” hands-on, and detail-oriented while staying pragmatic and flexible.

  • Performance and impact oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced international team.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with the Head of HR to design and implement scalable HR and payroll processes.

  • Own and manage HR and payroll administration for the Swedish team, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Maintain and optimize the HRIS system, ensuring data integrity and effective use of HR technology.

  • Manage contract administration, ensuring employment agreements and related documentation are accurate and up to date.

  • Manage relocation and immigration for incoming talent to Sweden.

  • Provide guidance on Swedish labor law and ensure policies and practices remain legally sound and culturally aligned.

  • Manage and continuously improve benefits administration and related employee programs.

  • Gather, analyze, and interpret people data; build and maintain spreadsheets to support decision-making.
