LTA Research and Exploration, an aerospace start-up, is seeking a motivated Software Intern to help build a revolutionary ‘lighter than air’ flight vehicle. You will be part of a dynamic engineering and design team to learn concepts of software development planning, conceptualizing, rapid prototyping, software design and development, testing, verification-validations while implementing innovative solutions for the design, fabrication, and assembly of large experimental flight vehicles. We believe in fast-cycle development and approach to flight systems development with the motto "build a little, test a little, learn a lot". This unique position allows hands-on learning and applying through all phases of development, from concept to flight of an experimental aerospace vehicle.

Job Responsibilities:
- Learn & Support:
- planning activity of the software development
- Software Requirements capture
- Design and Development of software in conjunction with other systems
- testing to Verify & Validate concept, repeatability and reliability on the Airship.
- the development of Flight Simulator software
- creating documentation through various development phases and test reports
- Learn Software Development Tools and Software Configuration Management Tools
- Principles of Software Coding-Implementation in C, C++, Python, Scripting, etc.
- Software Processes and Industry Best Practices
- working as an Individual Contributor as well as working in a team environment
- Support Software Engineering team-members and related activities as and when required
Learn & Apply
Qualifications
- Junior or Senior year of BS in computer science, computer engineering or related field
- Hands-on experience with one or more languages e.g. C, C++, Python, scripting, etc.
- Hands-on experience with project design and development
- Strong desire to understand and solve engineering problems
Preferred Qualifications
- Willingness to learn and apply various concepts of software engineering development
- Detail oriented and well organized with good communication skills
- Self-Starter as well as a Team player, with a can-do attitude and a zeal to learn
