Industrial Engineer I
Job Overview
Lucid is seeking an Industrial Engineer I. This position requires an experienced professional with comprehensive knowledge of General Assembly manufacturing processes. The role is responsible for line balancing within the department and leading ergonomic, material flow, and takt time studies.
You Will:
- Develop manufacturing processes for the General Assembly area.
- Create and deliver training to team members on new manufacturing processes.
- Perform time studies to balance manufacturing processes and optimize workflow.
- Develop specifications for custom equipment.
- Collaborate closely with external equipment integrators on the design of custom automation equipment.
- Validate and characterize new equipment and fixtures for production implementation.
- Create detailed Manufacturing Instructions to document new processes.
- Design production workstations with a focus on ergonomics and efficiency.
- Design manufacturing equipment and fixtures.
- Drive design for manufacturability initiatives.
You Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience required.
- Experience developing manufacturing processes for new and unique products.
- Familiarity with automated manufacturing equipment.
- Experience introducing new equipment and processes into a production environment.
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of OEM automotive manufacturing processes and line balancing principles.
- Simulation experience.
