About the Role

We’re looking for a Recruiter who understands the unique challenges of hiring in the aerospace and defense space—particularly when it comes to sourcing, engaging, and closing cleared engineering talent. This role partners closely with engineering leaders to build high-impact technical teams supporting mission-critical programs.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for cleared technical roles, including Software Engineers, Systems Engineers, Testing, Embedded Engineers, and other mission-critical engineering positions.
  • Source and engage candidates holding Active Clearances (Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, etc.)
  • Partner with hiring managers to deeply understand technical requirements and program timelines.
  • Build and maintain pipelines of cleared talent using LinkedIn, clearance-focused job boards, referrals, and proactive outreach.
  • Screen candidates for technical alignment, clearance eligibility, and program fit.
  • Coordinate interviews, manage offers, and support closing strategies in a competitive market.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable government, security, and hiring regulations.
  • Track recruiting metrics and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain spreadsheets and handle administrative tasks related to recruiting.
  • Support additional business units within the company as needed.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • 3-5+ years of recruiting experience, with direct experience in aerospace and defense.
  • Experience recruiting technical engineering roles in software, systems, embedded, testing, or related engineering disciplines.
  • Proven success recruiting cleared engineers for government or defense programs.
  • Ability to manage 15-20+ requisitions simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both highly technical candidates and senior engineering leaders.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-moving, high-stakes, demanding environment.
  • Strong sourcing skills and persistence in a competitive talent market.

 

Nice to Have

  • Experience recruiting for DoD contractors or federal government programs.
  • Familiarity with safety-critical, real-time, or embedded systems environments.
  • Existing network of cleared engineering talent.
  • Experience supporting multiple programs or business units simultaneously.
