The Opportunity
We’re seeking a Corporate Accountant to join our Group Finance team in Sydney. This is a high‑impact role supporting statutory, regulatory and management reporting across the Group, with significant exposure to senior stakeholders and complex technical accounting matters.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in half‑year and full‑year statutory reporting, group consolidations, audit deliverables and balance sheet integrity. You’ll also act as a trusted technical advisor within Finance and provide senior back‑up support to the Finance Manager and Controller.
A key focus of the role is involvement in the implementation and ongoing operation of the Group’s climate‑related and sustainability financial reporting obligations, including the development of robust finance‑owned controls, processes and disclosures.

What you will do!
- Prepare half‑year and full‑year statutory financial statements in line with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB)
- Deliver high‑quality management and executive reporting, including the monthly Executive Trading Pack
- Lead group consolidations and support complex technical accounting matters
- Partner closely with auditors and manage audit deliverables
- Maintain strong balance sheet governance, including review of key reconciliations and controls
- Act as a subject matter expert on accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to sustainability and climate‑related financial reporting (including AASB S2)
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across financial reporting, controls and processes
- Build effective working relationships across Finance, FP&A, Tax, Payroll and senior commercial stakeholders
About you!
- CA or CPA qualification (essential)
- Background in Big 4 or mid‑tier audit (preferred but not essential)
- Experience across statutory reporting, technical accounting and group consolidations and audit
- Solid understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and work confidently with senior finance leaders
- A continuous improvement mindset and interest in sustainability / climate‑related reporting
This is a high‑visibility role within Group Finance with exposure to complex, technical and evolving reporting requirements.
