Job Overview

We are looking for a results-driven Sales & Technical Applications Specialist to drive business growth across Asian and Middle Eastern markets. This role combines technical field support, sales, customer success, and product education, ensuring customers receive expert guidance and training on specialized equipment and solutions.

The position reports directly to the Business Development Director and requires a hands-on approach in both customer-facing activities and technical support.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage sales cycle from prospecting to closing, and post-installation customer support
  • Conduct product demos and training in processing facilities and farm environments
  • Install and configure SK8 equipment at food processing sites, farms, and produce operations
  • Train customer operators on proper equipment usage and maintenance
  • Support after-sales service and technical troubleshooting
  • Build strong client relationships in the food manufacturing, poultry, livestock, and produce sectors
  • Coordinate with Business Development Director and PH Country Director
  • Attend company training and events in Canada as required
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate customer visits and occasional weekend support

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a technical sales or technical sales support capacity with most recent year in a leadership role, ideally in one of the below fields:

o Food processing / food manufacturing

o Animal feed / livestock / agriculture

o Food safety or biotechnology sectors

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific, agricultural, or technical field (Animal Health, Food Science, Agriculture, Microbiology, Biology, Engineering)
  • Basic understanding of microbiology and scientific principles
  • Strong aptitude for science, engineering, and technical equipment operation
  • Outstanding communication skills required for relationship building.
  • Complete proficiency in the use of the English language (written & spoken)
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel extensively across Asia & Middle East for up to 3 weeks at a time.
  • Willing to provide academic transcript
  • Comfortable working on-site at farms and food production facilities
  • Occasional travel to SK8 headquarters in Ontario, Canada

Nice to Have:

• Biotech or food safety industry experience

• Fluent in a second language either Spanish and/or Mandarin.

• Aptitude in installing or servicing production equipment (McGiver)

• Knowledge of food processing or animal health systems

Work Environment

• The role is for work from home set up but candidate must be willing to do field work and travel with flexible hours

• Must be willing to work occasional weekends to support customer operations
